The Feed Scroll Generator doesn't create tool paths for you, only the solid geometry of the shaft inside Inventor. But the geometry is very well suited to your downstream CAM operations. Here's why:

• Single surface option. The app has the option of creating the entire machined surface of the shaft as a single surface, no matter how many surfaces the bottle solid body has. In fact this is the preferred option, and is used in 90% of cases.
• Multiple surface option. For very complex shafts (fast bottle rotation, sharp bottles etc.), the machined surface of the shaft can be created with multiple surfaces to make Inventor's job easier, and reduce 'wrinkling' of the face(s).​

• Surface level of detail. The app has the ability to adjust the level of detail of the surface(s). The quantity of loft profiles and rails can be adjusted by the user to create either a more lightweight, or more exacting file.

The Feed Scroll Generator app compares well against other solutions for creating feed screw geometry, as it provides more control over the surfaces that are created.
